Human Rights Commission disposed of 405 cases in 2024–25; pendency down to 81

Digital Goa, July 15 – Goa Human Rights Commission (GHRC) disposed of 405 cases in 2024–25, reducing pending cases to 81 by March-end. According to its 14th annual report, as on April 1, 2024 a total of 361 cases were pending and 125 new complaints were received during the year. Total of 405 cases were disposed of and recommendations were made in 18 cases. As on March 31, 2025, total number of cases pending stands at 81. The government provided grant-in-aid of ₹623.44 crore to the Commission, of which ₹292.23 crore was spent during the financial year 2024-25 for carrying out its functions, states the report.
