Oct 10 – Goa Human Rights Commission has taken suo motu cognizance of media reports regarding an undertrial prisoner who attempted self-immolation inside Colvale Jail. The Commission has issued notices to the Inspector General of Prisons and District Magistrate of North Goa to submit reports in this regards and appear before the commission on December 10, 2024 at 10:30 a.m.
