Digital Goa, June 30 – Power Minister Sudin Dhavalikar on Tuesday defended the proposed permanent IIT Goa campus at Farmagudi, asserting that the project will not affect the Shree Katamgal Dada shrine and that the road leading to the shrine will remain open. “We are not touching the shrine. The road to the shrine will not be blocked,” Dhavalikar said. He said the 4.5 lakh sq m land identified for the IIT campus has been in the government’s possession since 1968 and urged people not to fall prey to those “misguiding” them. “Everything is in the hands of the people,” he said.
