Digital Goa, Aug 2- CM Pramod Sawant today informed the house that in the last three and half years, 829 women & children went missing in Goa of which 695 have been traced while 134 are still missing. Sawant claimed that maximum of those yet to be traced are adults and that there could be various reasons why they went missing. “ As maximum are adults the issue has to handled delicately,” he said. As per an answer tabled on the floor of the Rajya Sabha on July 26, 2023 total of 1550 women and children ( 1471 women and 79 children) went missing in Goa in two years from 2019 to 2021. CM assured the house that govt will consider stationing Pink force police at crowded places like bus stations, ferry points etc and considering deputing special Pink Force for coastal areas.

Total 533 crimes against women have been registered in the last 3.5 years from the Jan 2021 to June 2023. The House was told in a written reply.
