Actor Vikrant Massey was conferred the prestigious Indian Film Personality of the Year award at gala concluding ceremony of the 55th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa. The honor was presented by Shri Pramod Sawant, Chief Minister of Goa, and Shri Sanjay Jaju, Secretary, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, in recognition of Massey’s extraordinary contributions to Indian cinema.
In an emotional acceptance speech, Vikrant Massey reflected on his journey, saying, “This is a truly special moment for me. I never imagined I would receive such an honor. Life has its ups and downs, but we must always be ready to restart, as my character did in the film 12th Fail.”
He further added, “I am a storyteller at heart. I choose scripts that allow me to become the voice of the common people. Own yourself, your stories, and your roots, wherever you come from. The Indian film industry is one of the most spectacular industries to be a part of.”
