Digital Goa, July 25 – Goa govt is planning to make 2 year ITI certificate equivalent to 12th pass to enable ITI students to take admission in degree courses such as BA, BCom , BVoc etc , informed CM Pramod Sawant. He added that it has also been decided to increase the seats reserved for ITI students in Polytechnics by 10 % . To provide vertical mobility to ITI students, 26 % seats in second year of Diploma Engineering are reserved for ITI pass outs, Sawant added. CM was replying to a LAQ raised by Mormugao MLA Sankalp Amonkar regarding strength of Higher Secondary’s in Mormugao. DoE has been asked to do a survey of the strength of all High secondary schools, following which decision in this regards will be taken, said Sawant.
