Digital Goa, Jan 3 – Kadamba Transport Corporation Ltd(KTCL) will operate 6 buses from Mopa International Airport starting Jan 5, the day the first flight lands at the newly constructed airport, informed KTCL General Manager Sanjay Ghate. The 49-seater EV buses will operate on 2 routes- Mopa to Margao via Panaji and Mopa to Calangute via Mapusa. The fares per ticket will be Rs 500 for Margao, Rs 250 for Panaji, Rs 200 for Mapusa etc, informed Ghate. Passengers can board these buses from Margao, Panaji, Calangute and Mapusa. Prebooking of the tickets will also be made available on travel websites Makemytrip and Redbus. “As the first flight is scheduled to land at 9 am on Jan 5, first KTCL bus will leave from arrival bay of Mopa Airport at 9.30 am. Thereon, buses will ply after every one hour. 11 to 12 flights are scheduled to land on Jan 5,” Ghate said. The flight movement will be streamlined by Jan 31 with around 34 arrivals and departures. Based of passenger movement the number of buses and trips will also be regulated, Ghate added.
