Digital Goa, Sept 3 – Newly inducted PWD Minister Digambar Kamat today held a review meeting with department officials soon after formally taking charge of his office. Kamat said he has directed officials to identify the worst-affected roads by Monday and slightly less damaged ones thereafter. “We will then decide what can be done to bring the roads back to normal. I have also made several suggestions,” he said. By next week they will give me a status update,” he added. Assuring that roads in the worst condition across Goa will be taken up for repairs on priority, Kamat emphasised that the PWD is a crucial ministry for infrastructure projects, including roads and bridges. He added that he will first review the system with the Chief Engineer and officials before framing policies.
