Digital Goa, Sept 4 – The Goa–Belgaum Chorla ghat road which was blocked by villagers from Karnataka at Kankumbi, has been thrown open for vehicular traffic following assurance by NHAI officials. The officials visited the protest site along with District Administration officials and assured that the road repair work will be taken up within next 3 days. Villagers along the highway from Kankumbi to Jamboti were on sit-in protest on the busy Goa-Belgaum road since morning. Major traffic block was seen on either side of the road.
