Digital Goa, April 28 – A shocking case of filicide was reported in Macazana-Curtorim, where a man allegedly murdered his 6-year-old daughter by striking her with a wooden rod over some petty matter. The accused, identified as 28-year-old Salim Dambal from Gadag, Karnataka, was residing at Macazana. The incident occurred yesterday night. Salim who was in inebriated state hit his daughter with wooden rod over a petty matter. The severely injured child was taken to local PHC where she was declared brought dead. Salim allegedly fled from the scene after committing the crime. A road work labourer by profession, he had arrived in Goa with his family few days back. Maina-Curtorim police have registered a case of murder and launched a manhunt to trace the absconding accused.
