Kerala man held for duping Quepem resident of ₹1.05 crore in ‘digital arrest’ scam

Digital Goa, August 11 – Cyber Crime Police, Goa, have arrested Gokul Prakash M K from Kannur, Kerala on August 8, 2025 for duping a Quepem resident of ₹1.05 crore by posing as a law enforcement officer in a ‘digital arrest’ scam. Police say the accused’s bank account received ₹24 lakh from the victim. Police informed that the accused’s account is also linked to 13 fraud cases across 10 states involving over ₹9 crore. He is in police custody and further investigation is underway. The accused is produced before court and is presently in police custody, informed police.
