Kerala youth’s organ donation to give new lease of life to 3 patients

Feb 4 – Three persons were given a new lease of life after family of 22-year-old brain dead youth decided to donate his organs. Kerala native, 22-year-old Sahil who worked at Mopa International Airport was declared brain-dead after receiving severe brain injury. His kidneys were transplanted into 2 patients at GMC and his liver was sent to Aurangabad. In the last 8 days, 11 patients from different parts of India have benefited from organ donation decision by families of 3 brain dead patients in Goa- 2 at GMC and one at Manipal Hospital.
