Digital Goa, Sept 13- Large number of students of Keshav Smriti Higher Secondary School at Dabolim held a rally in support of the school and the suspended Principal and refuted claims that they were forced to wear hijab. The students who visited the mosque urged people not to spread misinformation about their visit. The girls asserted that they covered their heads as a mark of respect and that no one forced them to do so. The row erupted after a group of students accompanied by teachers paid visit to a mosque in Vasco in response to appeal by Student Islamic Organisation. School Principal Shankar Gaonkar was suspended by the management following protest by VHP at the school premises. State Education Dept had also sought a report from the management in this regards.
