Digital Goa, Nov 7- Konkan Railway commenced battery operated car facility for passengers at Margao railway station today. The service has been introduced with the aim of helping passengers, specially senior citizens, persons with disability(PwD), pregnant women, sick persons etc to move with ease between platform and coaches. Passengers can reserve the facility by contacting mobile number 9561612135. The charge for the service is Rs 50 per person. The service is also available on first come, first serve basis without reservation. Earlier, Konkan Railway has also started Sarathi Sewa service at the station wherein Wheel-chair along with an Assistant is available at the Railway station for free by sending SMS on 9664044456 four hours in advance of the journey with details of PNR No, Coach No and berth Nos.
