Digital Goa, Mar 5- The Court Complex entrance was barricaded when Suleiman Khan was brought out of the Court for his own safety, said SP North Akshat Kaushal. “There are serious offences registered against him. Long trial awaits him and and his security is important to us,” SP said. When asked about the paper note which Suleiman handed over to the media, which was snatched away by police, Khaushal said, “The accused is being tried within the purview of the law. If he has to give any document, that document has to be given to Court. Otherwise, what is the purpose of the legal system?”

Land grabbing alleged mastermind Suleiman alias Siddiqui Khan’s visit to the District & Sessions Court has created ruffles yet again today. Siddiqui has alleged that attempts are being made to kill him. He spoke to media from police van while he was being taken to jail after hearing at the District and sessions court in Panaji.

Incidentally, when Siddiqui was being taken inside the court he handed over photocopied papers to the media. One of the police accompanying him quickly snatched the paper away from the media person. On this backdrop, when he was brought out of the court, police barricaded the entrance with ropes. Siddiqui’s face which was uncovered when he went inside was covered with a mask when he was brought out. However, when media persons asked him what was the issue while he sat inside the police van, he said, “They are trying to kill me.”
Last time, when he was brought before the court, he had given a statement to the media that he was being harassed by police in jail and that his second video was made at gunpoint by police.
