Digital Goa, Jan 13 – Thirteen students from the National Institute of Oceanography (NIO), Dona Paula, were safely rescued after the fishing trawler they were on ran aground on a sandbar around 200 metres off Miramar beach on Tuesday morning.All 13 students – nine females and four males – were brought safely ashore. No injuries have been reported. The students were on a marine study tour. The rescue was carried out from the newly deployed temporary floating platform, Seahorse, designed to cut response times in water emergencies.
