Digital Goa, September 8 – One of the two Ro-Ro ferries, introduced in mid-July on the Ribandar–Chorao route, broke down in the middle of the Mandovi river while carrying passengers and vehicles. The other Ro-Ro ferry made a failed attempt to tow it. Efforts are currently underway to rescue stranded passengers and pull the ferry to the shore.
