Nov 26 – A Madhya Pradesh native has been arrested by Quepem police in connection with the murder of 57-year-old Ubaldina Braganza from Paroda. The accused identified as Ramkumar Rawat was nabbed from Madhya Pradesh. Ubaldina was found murdered in her house at Paroda last Thursday. The accused was working as a labourer in Goa. Robbery is suspected to be the cause of murder as cash and gold was found missing from the house of the deceased. She was overseeing construction work of their new house and was reportedly carrying cash to be given as wages to workers the day she was found murdered.He has been remanded to 14 day police custody by JMFC Margao.
