Digital Goa, Dec 8 – State government has set up a magisterial inquiry committee chaired by North Goa Collector Ankit Yadav, IAS, with SP South Goa Tikam Singh Verma, IPS, Forensic Sciences Director Ashutosh Apte, and Fire Services Deputy Director Rajendra Haldankar as members to investigate the Arpora fire incident. The committee will examine the sequence of events, verify licence compliance, identify lapses and fix responsibility. It has been empowered to summon individuals and seek documents. The report is to be submitted within one week.
