Digital Goa, Dec 6 – Husband accused of murdering wife in 2017 was acquitted by Ponda court today due to lack of evidence. 23-year-old Tanuja Naik was found allegedly murdered at her husband’s ancestral house at Gaunem, Ponda in June 2017. The murder had occurred within 2 years of their marriage. Police had arrested her husband Atish Naik as accused. 37 witnesses were examined by the court in the matter. Atish was acquitted today on bond of Rs 20,000.
