Digital Goa, Aug 2 – Children’s Court has awarded 10 years rigorous imprisonment and Rs 6 lakh fine to a man for raping his minor step daughter. The case come to light in 2018 when 14-years-old victim girl became pregnant. Subsequently, an FIR was filed against her step father after the minor girl informed the police that he raped her. A DNA test was conducted on the father and the child delivered by victim girl. The DNA test came positive and the Children Court relying on the report sentenced the accused to 10 years rigorous imprisonment and fine of Rs 6 lakh.
