Digital Goa, Mar 31-Imad Khan, a 33-year-old accused in a Rs 30 lakh high profile extortion case in Goa, was arrested by the Delhi Police Crime Branch(CB) from Dehradun on Friday, March 28. Khan who hails from Sahranpur, Uttar Pradesh was initially arrested by Goa Police on June 19, 2024, for posing as a Delhi Police CB officer and extorting money from a Mumbai-based businessman who was staying in a villa at Mapusa. However, he managed to escape custody at Mumbai Airport during transit. After months on the run, he was finally tracked down and apprehended in Dehradun by Delhi Police CB. Goa Police took custody of the accused and have brought him to Goa.
