Nov 26 – Curchorem police have arrested branch manager of a nationalised bank at Cacora, Curchorem in the elderly woman cheating case. A woman identified as Tanvi Vast was arrested in the matter by Curchorem police yesterday. Tanvi had allegedly fleeced a woman from Cacora of gold and cash together worth Rs 30.50 lakh. Tanvi who allegedly worked as representative of Vision India in Central Bank of India, Curchorem allegedly took the gold ornaments worth Rs 25 lakh from Rosalina on pretext of depositing them with the bank and fraudulently replaced them with fake metal ornaments. Tanvi also transferred Rs 5.50 lakh from Rosalin’s account into her own account through mobile banking without her knowledge.
