igital Goa, Aug 13 – Movement of barges and boats in a section of the Mandovi River will be stopped from 7 am to 12 noon on August 15 as a security measure during Independence Day celebrations at the Old Secretariat, Panaji, the Captain of Ports Department has notified.
The restriction will apply from the western side of the old Mandovi bridge up to the Panaji-Betim ferry ramp. Vessels engaged in essential services have been exempted. No vessel will also be permitted to anchor or dock at the Captain of Ports jetty opposite the Old Secretariat during the restricted period.
