Nov 18 – Meeting of Mapusa Municipal Council turned stormy over the appointment of six contract workers. Eleven councillors out of 20 councillors staged walk out alleging irregularities in the recruitment process by Chairperson and Chief Officer. The meeting was adjourned three times over the matter.
