Nov 4- Priya Yadav, the alleged mastermind behind the Bicholim job racket, has been apprehended by Bicholim police in Kolhapur. Several complaints against her, involving fraud worth crores of rupees, were filed at the Bicholim police station. Yadav, who had been residing in the locality for several years, is accused of deceiving numerous Bicholim residents by promising jobs and shops in the Railways, swindling over Rs 1 crore. The investigation revealed that Yadav neither held personal bank accounts nor owned any vehicles in her name. Further, it was discovered that she had mortgaged victims’ gold ornaments to secure loans. Police have seized approximately 116 grams of gold, valued at around Rs 9 lakh. The case came to light following a complaint by Laxmi Dalawai from Bordem, Bicholim in August this year. Dalawai reported that Priya Yadav and an accomplice, Rohan Venji, duped her and others of Rs 20.70 lakh under the pretext of giving her job in the railways.
