Digital Goa, August 25 – NGO Street Providence once again brought around 30 mentally challenged individuals under their care to Azad Maidan today, protesting the government’s continued failure to disburse pending funds. A similar protest was held last Saturday, but the individuals were taken back to care homes after police assured the NGO that the issue would be resolved by Monday. With no progress made, the NGO has warned that if the matter is not resolved by this evening, they will be compelled to leave the individuals at the Panaji police station.
