Jan 23- Mhadei river matter did not come before the Supreme Court today. The matter is likely to come for hearing next Thursday, Jan 30. Special leave petitions have been filed in the SC by the three-riparian States- Goa, Karnataka and Maharashtra, along with the contempt pleas filed by Goa. Earlier, the matter was heard in July, 2023. The matter had come up before the apex Court in November 2024, i.e. after almost nine months of the previous hearing. However, it was posted for January without any hearing.
