Digital Goa, July 27 – Raising question about the presence of tigers in the Mhadei Wildlife Sanctuary, BJP’s Poriem MLA Deviya Rane asserted on the floor of the house today that she was totally against declaring the Mhadei Wildlife Sanctuary and peripheral areas as Tiger Reserve. Claiming that thousands of people will be affected if this was done, she questioned, “Is there any survey done on how many tigers come there?” she questioned. “We have to rethink of the (High Court) order,” she added. Forest Minsiter Vishwajeet Rane on his part asserted that people’s interest has to be protected. “It is easy for some NGOs to go to court. This NGO has a habit of going to court,” he said.
