Digital Goa, May 29 – Erstwhile workers of Sesa Vedanta protested outside the company mines at Bicholim alleging that the company had sidelined them and recommenced work by employing workers from outside Goa. The workers marched onto the mine and stopped the ongoing work today morning. The workers who are being paid half salary by the company since the stopping of mine, demanded that the company should take them back on work in the first phase. Vedanta has won back the mine through e-auction conducted by the state govt recently. The company on its part clarified that they are following all rules and regulations as per prescribed guidelines and that no injustice is being meted out to workers.
