Digital Goa, June 17 – Cuncolim Police have registered a case following a complaint by Geologist at the Directorate of Mines and Geology, alleging illegal extraction and transportation of laterite stones from Paryemol, Khaddem, Quepem, by unidentified persons. The activity, carried out without any license or permit, caused an estimated loss of Rs 1 crore to the State Govt, states the complaint. The extracted stones were transited to some unknown destination, adds the complaint.
