Sept 5- State Cabinet today hiked minimum rate per square meter of land in the two talukas of Pernem and Bardez. The rate has been hiked from Rs 3,000 per sq mtr to Rs 8,000 per sq mtr. However, for land below 500 sqr mtr old rate of Rs 3,000 per sqr mtr will be applicable. The decision has been taken in view of increasing revenue for the govt, given the growing rate of development in the two talukas, informed CM Pramod Sawant.
