Monsoon session of State legislative assembly concludes

Digital Goa, Aug 10 – The Monsoon session of the state legislative assembly concluded today. 2883 LAQs – 930 starred and 1953 unstarred were raised by the legislators. 90 of these are answered verbally while written answers were provided to the remaining ones. The session which started on July 18 saw in all 18 sittings together amounting to 120 hours 44 minutes. The session saw discussion on 2023-24 budget, cut motions, 36 calling attentions and 15 private member resolutions. 19 bills were placed before the house and passed. 320 papers were laid before the house, 144 issues were raised during zero hour. 14 bills were assented by governor assent. Nearly 3869 students and 2285 teachers and staff from 65 schools and Higher Secondary’s visited the assembly to see the assembly in progress.

President Draupadi Murmu will address a special session of the state legislative assembly on Aug 23,2023 at 4 pm, informed Speaker Ramesh Tawadkar.
