More outstation players in Goa Boxing team than permitted under National Game Rules alleges Boxing Coach

Digital Goa, Nov 9 – Boxing Coach in Goa has written to the Goa Olympic association alleging that the Goa Boxing Association has violated National Games 70:30 rule related to incorporating players from other states in a state team. As per the communication, the coach has claimed that of the 7 boxers in the Goa team of 37th National Games, 5 were from other states. This is in violation of the rules which specify that 70% players should be from home state and 30 % can be taken from other states, the Coach Samson Joe pointed out adding that he sought the information through RTI application. He lamented that talented boxers from Goa have been denied their rightful opportunities. Goa Olympic Association is looking into the matter.
