Digital Goa, Aug 4 – One Pradeep Jamdar has been arrested by Goa police from Pune for cheating Sanjeevani Sahakari Sakar Karkhana Limites(SSSKL) to the tune of Rs 5.10 crore. The SSSKL has entered into agreement in October 2017, with Pradeep who is owner of a Pune based transportation firm along with two others, Kashinath Dahiwal and Sayyad Nijamali for supplying labourers and for transportation of sugarcane to the factory. Rs 5.10 cror were transferred to Jamdar by the Sanjivani Sugar factory for engaging 2,250 labourers to harvest sugarcane from farmers in Goa as well as for transporting the sugarcane to the factory at Dayanandnagar using 150 trucks. The trio allegedly took the money and did not do the assigned work thereby indulging in criminal breach of trust and misappropriation of money to the tune of Rs 5.10 crore. Pradeep has been produced before the court in Goa.
