Feb 18- The NAKSHA project, a pilot initiative under nationwide Digital India Land Records Modernization Program was launched in three urban local bodies(ULB) in Goa: Panaji, Cuncolim, and Margao. Fully funded by the Central Government, this GIS-based project aims to improve urban planning, land dealings, and disaster management. The 3-D maps created under NAKSHA will assist in taxation, encroachment removal, and city planning, informed CM Pramod Sawant during the launch of the initiative. The project has been launched today in 152 ULBs across the country.
