NGDRS server crash halts registrations at Margao Sub Registrar Office

Digital Goa, July 16 – E-governance operations at the Margao Sub Registrar Office came to a standstill today as the National Generic Document Registration System (NGDRS) software suffered a total server halt. Sub Registrar Suraj Vernekar stated that the document registration process had been facing severe slowdowns for the past eight days due to issues with the servers maintained by NIC (National Informatics Centre). “Because of slow servers, we have not been able to register documents. Today, the server has halted completely,” Vernekar said. He added that NIC is working on resolving the issue and expressed hope that services would resume by the end of the day. The outage has caused significant inconvenience to citizens relying on the office for registration services.
