Digital Goa, October 8 – North Goa Planning and Development Authority (NGPDA) has invited tenders for erecting barbed wire fencing around the land acquired at Cuchelim, Mapusa, for the proposed burial ground, cemetery, and crematorium. The land was acquired from a private owner and leased from Cuchelim comunidade by NGPAD for the project. However, illegal encroachments on the area have been a cause of concern. The multi faith project, long awaited by residents of Mapusa and nearby areas, is expected to address the need for an organized and dignified burial and cremation facility.
