Digital Goa, July 12 – Nine persons operating a fake call center from a holiday home at Majorda have been nabbed by Crime Branch today. Posing as bank officials the fraudsters used to fleece money from American nationals by luring them with loans and making them pay fines for low credit scores. Mobiles, laptops, routers, headphones, modems etc and Rs 65,000 cash together worth Rs 15 lakh have been seized from them. Of the 9 arrested, 2 are from Gujarat, 3 from Meghalaya, 2 from Mumbai and one each from West Bengal and Nagaland. The accused are identified as Vinay Makwana(32-years, Gujarat), Ghachi Alfarz (28-years, Gujarat), Akash Bisva(23-years, Meghalaya), Akash Sunar(23-years, Meghalaya), Rahul Sarsar(29-years, Mumbai), Rehan Shaikh(27-years, Mumbai), Kesang Tamang(22-years, West Bengal), Tanmay Dasgupta(20-years, Nagaland).
