Digital Goa, Sept, 22 – Power Minister Sudin Dhavalikar on Monday said that the Joint Electricity Regulatory Commission (JERC) has not yet given its decision on the proposed electricity tariff hike, and the state government too has not taken any call on the matter so far. A decision may be taken only after Dusshera, he added. In April this year, the Goa electricity department had proposed a 5.95% hike in power tariff across all categories of consumers for the financial year 2025-26. The proposal has been submitted to JERC, which regulates the power sector in Goa, for approval. The department has also submitted proposals for subsequent tariff hikes — 5.64% for 2026-27 and 4.88% for 2027-28.
