Digital Goa, Apr 8 – Reacting to concerns over the recent High Court order, Town and Country Planning Minister Babush Monserrate clarified that the Court has only directed municipalities and panchayats to submit reports of illegal structures in their respective jurisdictions. “The High Court has not instructed any demolition,” he asserted. Monserrate said, “No houses will be demolished. The Court has only asked for removal of structures that fall within road widening areas.” He added that any further decisions will be made only after the reports are submitted to the Court.
