No mining dependent will remain unemployed by 2026 assures CM

Digital Goa, September 22 – Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has assured that by 2026 no mining-dependent worker, truck owner or related business will remain unemployed in the state. He said that 12 mining leases have already been auctioned, out of which nine will commence operations immediately, while the remaining three will begin in March next year. Sawant expressed confidence that the state would successfully restart environmentally sustainable mining in line with the Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act and Supreme Court guidelines.
