Nov 19 – Siddhique alias Suleiman Mohammad Khan, arrested by the Goa Police SIT for land grabbing on November 12 in Hubli, has used bank accounts and SIM cards of majority of the 35 women he befriended, to stay hidden and conduct illegal activities. Police have frozen one such account holding Rs 1.36 crore. A native of Shimoga, Karnataka, raised in Goa, Siddhique has been involved in crimes including the 2014 murder of Tarsila Fernandes. He has multiple cases nationwide on his name and stints in jails like Yerawada and Tihar. He has been dealing in properties since 2004 and has duped many persons by forging sale deed, Power of Attorney etc, informed police. On this backdrop,Goa Police have appealed to people to remain vigilant while buying and purchasing properties from agents.
