Digital Goa, Nov 1 – One-man commission headed by retired high court judge V K Jadhav probing land grab cases in the state submitted its report to the state govt today. The probe report also consists of advice and suggestions to the govt to prevent scams of similar type in future. The commission of inquiry was appointed in Aug 2022, however it actually started function in Jan 2023. The commission closed the inquiry in August 2023 after giving sufficient opportunity to all to make their submission in connection with respective crimes. Goa police have registered 76 cases of land grab across the state in the past five and half years, and around 50% of these cases were registered in 2022 after the state government constituted a special investigation team (SIT). The commission of inquiry probed these land grabbing cases and submitted its report.
