Digital Goa, Mar 5- High Court today granted one more week time, to the company, to transport remaining 1,868 MT ore from Kalay Railway Station to Andrem Jetty, Sanvordem. The company has assured the court that the transportation of the balance ore will be complete within a week from today, March 5. The court order came in the PIL writ petition filed by the Goa Foundation, which has sought to argue that such activities could not be undertaken in the Wildlife Sanctuary, in view of several provisions of the Wildlife Act, 1972. Through its earlier order of Feb 5, the Court had said that once the remaining ore is transported, any further handling of ore at the Kalay Railway Station will not be permitted until the Chief Wildlife Warden(CWW), Goa (R-3) gives decision in the matter. In Court had also restrained the respondents from acting on any decision of the Chief Wildlife Warden for a period of two weeks, to enable contesting of the decision, if required.
