Digital Goa, Aug 11 – Air quality in Panaji is worst among 6 cities in Goa, Cuncolim is the most polluted Industrial Estate and Amona the most polluted mining area, as per the Goa State Pollution Control Board report tabled in the Assembly yesterday. The annual average of Ambient Air Quality Monitoring (AAQM) data from the 19 National Air Monitoring Programme (NAMP) stations across Goa from April 2022 to March 2023 has been specified in the report. PM10 levels of Panaji stand at 68 PM10 µg/m3. PM10 specify particles in the air with diameter of 10 microns or less (PM10) that are inhalable into the lungs and can induce adverse health effects. Among Industrial Estates, Cuncolim is the most polluted with PM10 level of 72 while in mining areas Amona is most polluted with PM10 level of 67. Residential/ Commercial Areas – Panaji 68, Ponda 58, Margao 57, Vasco 56, Baina 55, Mapusa 49
Mining Areas – Amona 67 ,Assanora 66, Usgao 63, Honda 62 , Codli 62 , Sanguem 61, Tilamol 57, Bicholim 57
Industrial Areas – Cuncolim 72 , Kundaim 70 , MPT 67 , Tuem 66
