Aug 23 – Goa govt will seek suggestions and objections from village panchayats on the draft notification issued by Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change(MoEF &CC) listing 108 villages in Goa along the Western Ghats as Ecologically Sensitive Areas (ESA), informed CM Pramod Sawant. He said feedback will also be sought from concerned MLAs. The feedbacks will be collated and sent to MoEF&CC, Sawant added. States have been given 60 days to give their suggestions over the draft. “We are in continuous touch with MoEF over the issue,” said Sawant.
