Digital Goa, July 5 – A 25-year-old woman from Korgao, Pernem, was allegedly cheated of ₹3.69 lakh in an online job scam after being added to a WhatsApp group offering part-time work-from-home jobs. The fraudsters initially paid her for completing tasks but later induced her to transfer money on the pretext of correcting withdrawal errors, unfreezing her account and improving her credit score. After losing ₹3,69,400, she realised she had been duped and lodged a complaint.
