Party image harming conduct will affect prospects in elections, Damu warns Babu & Pravin

Panaji, July 2 – BJP State President Damu Naik said he has warned MLA Pravin Arlekar and former MLA Babu Azgaonkar for publicly accusing each other of links to narcotics. He said such conduct tarnishes the party’s image and could affect their prospects in future elections. Naik advised both leaders to approach the police with any specific information and raise their concerns with the Chief Minister through the party platform. The controversy began after Azgaonkar accused Arlekar of involvement in the drug trade, to which Arlekar responded by alleging that Azgaonkar’s son was involved. Opposition parties, including AAP, Congress, and Goa Forward, have slammed the BJP over the matter and demanded a thorough investigation in the allegations.
