Digital Goa, Feb 17 – Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, North Goa has ordered that compensation to the tune of Rs 1.38 crore be paid to the mother of an accident victim. Mario Fernandes had expired after getting injured in accident between a car and a bike at Calangute-Saligao junction in Jan 2021. Mario’s family had claimed compensation to the tune of Rs 50 lakh. The Tribunal ordered the accused car driver and the Insurance company to pay compensation to the mother of the victim with 6% interest.
